Live experience: Coronation of Oba Ewuare II

So yesterday was a really historic and beautiful day for the binis. A New Oba, was Crowned King and I witnessed it (Will witness the next one IJN, Amen!!).

I practically was indoors through out the day glued to the TV as I enjoyed every bit of the ceremony. I actually wanted to go to the palace but the magnitude of crowd I saw on the TV discouraged my legs from walking there cause no regular vehicle could go close.

The new King, His Royal Majesty, Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, Oba of Benin addressed the kingdom and made an historic mark by recounting the past Obas, making himself the 40th Oba of Benin rather than the 39th that we all know. (My mum actually predicted the name he'll choose 4 days to the coronation. I wanted to bet with money o, thank God I didn't)

I was supposed to be an usher at the event but I told my mum that I was scared as the New Oba might just pick me for a Wife. Lol 

I heard that any female that  catches his eyes automatically becomes his wife. So I turned down the 30k for a days ushering job (in my dreams). But chai, the new young crown Prince make sense o.... Couldn't get any picture of him online but as soon as I do, I'll post it.
